Paychecks for Patriots Act of 2025

The Paychecks for Patriots Act of 2025 would provide continuing appropriations specifically for military pay during any period when the federal government lacks full-year or interim appropriations for fiscal year 2026. This would apply to active duty members of the Armed Forces as well as reserve components performing active service or inactive duty training. The appropriations would remain available until Congress enacts legislation providing regular FY2026 appropriations for military compensation. If enacted, this bill would help ensure that military personnel continue to receive their salaries and allowances even if a government shutdown occurs due to Congress failing to pass required appropriations legislation. Currently, the bill has been introduced in the Senate and referred to committee for consideration.
