Veteran Education Assistance Adjustment Act of 2026

This bill would amend the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance Program administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide an annual increase in the stipend that covers books, supplies, equipment, and other educational costs for eligible veterans. Currently, veterans using this GI Bill benefit receive a set amount for these expenses, and this legislation would adjust that amount upward on an annual basis.

If enacted, the bill could help reduce out-of-pocket education expenses for veterans pursuing degrees or training programs. The annual increase would mean that as costs for educational materials rise over time, the veteran benefit would keep pace rather than remaining static.
