Crapo, Mike

Mike Crapo is the senior United States Senator from Idaho, having served in the chamber since 1999. Born and raised in Idaho Falls, he earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. Before his tenure in the Senate, he practiced law and held significant roles in state government, including serving as the president pro tempore of the Idaho Senate and as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Idaho's 2nd district from 1993 to 1999.

In the Senate, Crapo holds influential leadership positions, notably serving as the Chair of the Joint Committee on Taxation and the Senate Committee on Finance.
