Background

Ruben Gallego served in the United States Marine Corps from 2002 to 2006, deploying to Iraq as a lance corporal with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines. Following his military service, he worked in political consulting and public relations, including roles as a campaign manager and chief of staff for a Phoenix City Council member. Political career

Ruben Gallego began his elective career in the Arizona House of Representatives, where he served from 2011 to 2014 and held the role of assistant minority leader.
