Kelly, Mark

Mark Kelly is a retired astronaut and naval officer serving as a U.S. Senator from Arizona since 2020. As ranking member of two Senate subcommittees, Kelly leads the Democratic opposition on military readiness and environmental policy. The Armed Services Committee oversees the Department of Defense and military operations, while the Environment and Public Works Committee addresses climate, energy, and infrastructure—positions that grant Kelly significant influence over defense spending priorities and clean energy legislation.
