Moreno, Bernie

Bernie Moreno is a Republican United States Senator from Ohio, having assumed office in January 2025. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, he immigrated to the United States as a child and became a citizen at age 18. Before entering public service, Moreno built a successful career in the private sector, first as an executive in the automotive industry and later as the owner of a large network of car dealerships based in the Cleveland area. In the late 2010s, he pivoted to the technology sector, founding a blockchain-based company and advocating for Cleveland to become a hub for high-tech innovation.
