Davis, Donald G.

Donald Davis represents North Carolina's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. A member of the Democratic Party, he first entered Congress in 2023 following a decade of service in the North Carolina Senate and a career as the mayor of Snow Hill. Before entering politics, Davis served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and worked as an educator, teaching military history and leadership as an assistant professor at East Carolina University.

In the House, Davis is recognized as a moderate Democrat who prioritizes the needs of his rural northeastern North Carolina district. He serves on the House Committee on Agriculture, where he holds a leadership role as the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Commodity Markets, Digital Assets, and Rural Development.
