Ogles, Andrew

Andy Ogles is a Republican Representative serving Tennessee's 5th Congressional District, which includes parts of Nashville and surrounding counties. He first entered Congress in January 2023 after serving as the Mayor of Maury County from 2018 to 2022. Before his time in elected office, he worked as the director of the Tennessee chapter of Americans for Prosperity and as the executive director of the Laffer Center for Supply-Side Economics. He holds a bachelor's degree in liberal studies from Middle Tennessee State University.

In the House, Ogles is a member of the Financial Services and Homeland Security committees. He serves as the Chair of the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection. His legislative work frequently centers on conservative fiscal policy, immigration enforcement, and reducing federal mandates. Notable bills he has sponsored include the Halt Immigration from Countries with Inadequate Verification Capabilities Act and the Defunding Unscientific Mask Mandates Act. He is also a member of the House Freedom Caucus, where he advocates for limited government and increased transparency in federal spending.
