Medicare Hearing Aid Coverage Act of 2025

The Medicare Hearing Aid Coverage Act of 2025 would expand Medicare benefits to include coverage of hearing aids and related examinations for beneficiaries with hearing loss. Currently, Medicare does not cover hearing aids, leaving many seniors to pay out-of-pocket for these devices, which can cost thousands of dollars. If enacted, this bill would make hearing aids more accessible and affordable for Medicare recipients.

The bill also requires the Government Accountability Office to conduct a study of existing programs that provide assistance for hearing aids and related examinations. This research would help Congress understand what hearing aid assistance programs are already available and how they operate. The bill is currently in committee and has not yet been voted on by the full House of Representatives.
