CREATIVE Act of 2025

The CREATIVE Act of 2025 would establish a Creative Economy Revitalization and Workforce Development Program that provides federal grants to eligible arts organizations. The bill would authorize two main types of grants: hiring and production grants of up to $5 million to employ artists and support creative projects, and construction and acquisition grants to help organizations build or acquire facilities for arts activities. Grants would prioritize organizations serving underrepresented communities, those facing financial hardship, and those producing work by culturally diverse populations.

If enacted, the bill could help arts organizations expand their operations, create jobs for artists and creative professionals, and improve cultural infrastructure in communities. The legislation has bipartisan support and is currently under committee consideration. The bill is still in the early stages of the legislative process and has not yet been voted on by the full House.
