A bill to require the Secretary of Agriculture to convey the Pleasant Valley Ranger District Administrative Site to Gila County, Arizona.

This legislation would direct the U.S. Forest Service to transfer approximately 232.9 acres of the Tonto National Forest to Gila County, Arizona. The land, known as the Pleasant Valley Ranger District Administrative Site, would be provided to the county at no cost, provided the county submits a written request for the transfer. If enacted, the county would be required to use this land exclusively for purposes that serve and support veterans.

Under the proposal, Gila County would be responsible for all administrative costs associated with the transfer, including land surveys and environmental or historical impact studies. To ensure the land is used as intended, the bill includes a requirement that the property return to federal ownership if it is ever used for purposes other than supporting veterans. Because the transfer would be made via a quitclaim deed, the federal government would not provide any warranties regarding the condition of the land or its existing structures.
