Robert P. Bresnahan is a Republican Representative from Pennsylvania's 8th District who previously served as the CEO of his grandfather's highway electrical business, Kuharchik Construction.
Background
Robert P. Bresnahan Jr. graduated from the University of Scranton and began his professional career at age 19 as the chief financial officer of his grandfather's business, Kuharchik Construction. He later became the company's CEO in 2013 and founded RPB Ventures, a real estate development firm focused on projects in Pittston, Pennsylvania. Before entering politics, he also served on numerous community boards, including the SPCA of Luzerne County and the Wyoming Rotary Club.
Political career
Robert P. Bresnahan entered public office after a career in business and real estate development, having served on several voluntary and community boards in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2024 after defeating the incumbent representative. A member of the Republican Party, he took office to represent Pennsylvania's 8th congressional district on January 3, 2025.
