Anti-Racism in Public Health Act of 2025

H.R. 2884 would amend the Public Health Service Act to establish new research and investment programs focused on understanding and addressing the public health impacts of structural racism and police violence. If enacted, the bill would declare racism a public health crisis and require the federal government to develop anti-racist health policies. The legislation would create two new programs within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to expand research and investment into how structural racism affects public health outcomes. Currently, the bill has been introduced in the House and referred to committee for consideration, but has not yet been voted on by the full chamber.
