Preventing Child Trafficking Act of 2025

H.R. 6475 would direct the Office for Victims of Crime within the Department of Justice to continue implementing recommendations from a Government Accountability Office report on child trafficking prevention. The bill would require the department to establish measurable performance goals and targets for anti-trafficking programs for children and to coordinate with the Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Trafficking in Persons. Within 180 days of enactment, the Justice Department would need to submit a report to Congress describing the steps taken to implement these recommendations. If enacted, the bill would strengthen federal efforts to combat child trafficking through better coordination between agencies and more systematic tracking of anti-trafficking program effectiveness.
